I'm a hacker/developer, and involved in a number of free source Python based projects. I'm married and have two children.
The project i'm representing at FreeEDem is Guido van Robot which is developed by students at Yorktown High School in Arlington America. Guido van Robot or GvR for short, is a way to teach children the concepts of computer programming in a nice attractive manner.
At this moment one, but don't forget that GvR was a student project aimed at understanding computer languages and parsers, not something to get famous. It's a application to use in schools, so the main users would be teachers.
A few of the original students who developed GvR and the teacher who used GvR.
Almost none, see the previous question.
Anything usefull, this project is just out off the lab, so we welcome any comment.
At the moment we can really use somebody who is comfortable with wxwindows/wxpython to handle some urgent matters, but for a project like this language support is just as important. So i think we would welcome anybody who can support us.
The main focus lies on showing what GvR is and how complete and stable it is. I will also show that it's a nice way to introduce the abstract concept of programming to children.
Public knowledge and a good wxwindow hacker. Ofcourse we can always use translators for the lessons.
Because GvR is, at least in the public domain, a very young and unknown project i don't know what to expect. I'm hoping on raising support for GvR.
