OFSET has the focused, while still broad, objective to be an international organization supporting the use and developpement of Free Software and related free material for education and teaching. Amongst its specificities are the fact that it is multilingual and support selected systems effectively, while also encompassing many others, that are for example distributed in the FreeducCdPage.
Many other organisations and associations share a similar objective, but in general it is not as broad. For example, by not being multilingual and international right from the start, not collaborating actively with other nations ... This does not mean that these other active project are not as important: each of them plays a very important role, for example geographically, by being active locally.
Therefore, we see one of the role of OFSET to gather the energy and people of all these active associations by organizing activities and meetings, or by helping focus on education in other meetings.
Please come along and share with us the pleasure of a friendly physical meeting, focus on the developpement of software, and other material (cursus, tutorials, manuals ...) related to Free Software.
